Book a test cut
Where the jet does its work.
The cutting head determines how you cut: straight or at bevel angles, with abrasive or with pure water. Our cutting heads are built modularly and have only two wear parts, the water nozzle and the abrasive mixing tube, which keeps maintenance manageable. You combine them as you wish on the X-carriage of your ACM cutting table.
Three cutting heads,
one X-carriage.

2D cutting head
Cuts flat contours, perpendicular to the material. Works with abrasive and with pure water up to 4,000 bar.

2.5D cutting head
Cuts at bevel angles up to ±55°, for weld seam preparation, matching angles and decorative work.

DR-4 drilling unit
Mechanically makes a start hole before the waterjet begins to cut, for materials such as HPL, acrylic and carbon (CFRP).

Flat contours, cut perpendicular.
The 2D cutting head cuts flat contours, perpendicular to the material. It works with abrasive and with pure water up to 4,000 bar, so you can handle everything from hard sheet material to soft materials.
- Two wear parts: the water nozzle and the abrasive mixing tube
- Water nozzles in 0.25, 0.35 and 0.40 mm; mixing tubes in 0.76 and 1.02 mm
- 1 or 2 cutting heads as standard and 3 or 4 on the larger tables, spacing adjustable from 350 to 1500 mm
- Each cutting head has its own abrasive dosing unit (feeder) on the carriage
Cutting at bevel angles.
The 2.5D cutting head cuts at bevel angles. That is useful for weld seam preparation, matching angles and decorative work. The head is backwards compatible with existing ACM systems.
The head contains the EMS (Electronic Monitoring System) that monitors the cutting process during unmanned cutting: it watches the nozzle, shuts down automatically on a problem and raises an alarm. Can be extended with a laser pointer and a 3D cutting module.
- Cutting method: abrasive and pure water
- Protection class IP65, operating temperature 10 to 30 °C
- EMS for unmanned cutting, extendable with laser pointer and 3D module
Drill first, then cut.
The DR-4 is an optional drilling unit on the X-carriage. It mechanically makes a start hole before the waterjet begins to cut, for materials such as HPL, acrylic, carbon (CFRP) and laminated material. The DR-4 drills the start hole all the way through the material, after which the waterjet takes over the cutting.
Which cutting head do you choose?
The choice depends on how you cut and which material you process. We help you match that choice to your material, your pump and your cutting table.
Service from the manufacturer itself.
In the event of a fault we are with you within 72 hours, in urgent situations often within 24. Maintenance, helpdesk and the Resato Academy come from the same people who built your machine.
Test your cutting with
the right cutting head.
Book a cutting test with your own material and judge the cut yourself. We normally do not charge for that cutting test. Unsure about the right cutting head? Request a technical conversation and our engineers will think along with you.
