One table that moves with you.

As a cutting service provider or subcontractor you never face the same job twice. A gasket one day, a sheet of stainless steel or a rush order in a completely different material the next. A waterjet cuts that custom work without heat input, in almost any material, so you can switch quickly and keep lead times short.

Varied work Worker placing a sheet on the cutting table using a crane-mounted vacuum lifter.
The challenge

Varied work, short deadlines.

Your strength is that you can handle almost anything: small batches, one-off bespoke work, a rush order in between. But every job calls for a different material and a different approach, and the customer wants it fast. With traditional tooling that usually means retooling, waiting or outsourcing. A waterjet cuts the drawing directly, without changing tools for each material.

  • From a single piece to small batches, without a jig or die
  • Rush orders and bespoke work with short lead times
  • Almost any material on the same table, without retooling
Why a waterjet fits

Switch faster, take on more work.

A waterjet gives you one cutting table that handles widely varying work. You load a new drawing, choose your material and cut, without mechanically reconfiguring the machine. Resato cites the example of a five-minute lead time with the waterjet, against more than an hour with punching and dies.

Because the cut is made without heat input, your material keeps its mechanical properties and finishing stays limited. That way you take on work you previously had to turn down or outsource.

Three benefits
01Switch quicklyNew job? Load the drawing and cut, without changing tools for each material.
02One table, plenty of workMetal, natural stone, ceramics, composite, glass, plastic and foam on the same cutting table.
03Less outsourcingMore materials and operations in your own hands, so more margin and more control over your planning.

Customer in practice

A family business that cuts almost everything itself

That waterjet has given us so many more possibilities. The flexibility you create with it is unmatched; you really can do everything yourself.

Apparaten Fabrikage Waalwijk (AFW) makes custom metalwork in small batches and handles maintenance and overhaul for the LNG and hydrogen sector. Since bringing a Resato waterjet in-house, they cut a far wider range of materials themselves, from metals to fibre-reinforced plastics, and no longer outsource custom work. Even special metallurgical blades that cannot withstand laser heat are cut without any trouble. If something does go wrong, a technician is usually ready within one to two days.
