Water that cuts
where heat cannot.

A high-pressure water jet, pure or with abrasive, cuts metal, stone, composite, glass and ceramics without a heat-affected zone. The crystal structure of the material stays unchanged: no melting, no cracking, no distortion. The cut comes out smooth, so the next process step starts sooner.

The ACM platform

One modular system, from a single source.

An ACM cutting installation is built up from cutting table, pump, cutting head, abrasive management, HMI controller and CAD/CAM software. We design, build and service every component ourselves. No bought-in pump under a private label, but our own product, so we can fully guarantee performance, service and parts.

Merford chose Resato again

With a waterjet, you can cut that cut-out directly, without an extra cut.

Merford develops acoustic solutions in Gorinchem. Their first ACM waterjet from 2009 is still running after 17 years. For internal cut-outs without unnecessary saw marks, traditional band saws could not do what they needed; the waterjet cuts the cut-out directly, without an extra cut. In March 2026 a second machine joined it: an ACM-2040.

Which materials does a Resato waterjet cut?

Metal, stone, composite, glass, ceramics, plastic, rubber and wood, up to 200 mm thick. For harder and thicker materials we cut with abrasive; for softer materials pure water is enough.

How accurate is the machine?

The positioning accuracy is ±50 micron at 20 °C, maintained over the machine's lifetime. The repeatability is 0.05 mm. The cutting tolerance of the workpiece itself depends on material, thickness, cutting head and speed, which we prefer to establish with a test cut.

Are you a genuine manufacturer (OEM)?

Yes. We design, build, service and update the entire system, pump, cutting head, table, controller and software, in-house in Assen. We are one of the few technology owners in this market.

How well organised are service and spare parts?

Service and original spare parts come directly from us as the manufacturer, with our own technicians. Our own service department covers NL/BE, DE and FR/BE, with phone and online breakdown support.

Which languages and markets do you work in?

We mainly serve Europe, with content in Dutch, English, German and French. From Assen we deliver directly in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and beyond.
