Piercing Drill Unit DR-4

The ACM Piercing Drill Unit DR-4 configuration has been designed to work on an ACM X-carriage. The drilling function is used for piercing a starting hole to cut with a waterjet. The ACM Piercing Drill is developed for pre-drilling in materials that cannot be pierced with a waterjet.

Materials like trespa, plexiglass and some laminated materials cannot be pierced with a waterjet without damaging the material. To prevent material damage, the drilling unit can be used to create the starting hole completely through the material in order to continue cutting with the waterjet.
