Book a test cut
What ±50 µm means in practice.
The ACM positions to ±50 µm at 20 °C, across the full working area, and returns to the same spot within 0.05 mm. Below is what those two figures actually say, the conditions they hold under, and where you see it on your own workpiece.
Two specifications that land on the same number.
Positioning accuracy and repeatability are two different things. The first says how close the cutting head comes to the intended position: ±50 µm, at 20 °C, across the full working area. The second says how consistently it returns to that same spot: 0.05 mm. That is numerically the same value, but it is not the same specification, and anyone who mixes the two up promises something other than what is stated.
- Positioning accuracy: ±50 µm at 20 °C, across the full working area
- Repeatability: 0.05 mm, the same value, a different specification
- The 2.5D cutting head positions its axes to ±0.1°
A specification holds under conditions.
±50 µm applies at 20 °C. If the temperature in your hall differs from that, machine and material work their own expansion into the dimension. There are also two wear parts that determine the jet: the water nozzle and the mixing tube. They wear in use, and a worn part gives a different jet than a new one. That is why we set the parameters on your material, and not on a sample we picked out.
- Reference temperature 20 °C, across the full working area
- Two wear parts determine the jet: the water nozzle and the mixing tube
- Water nozzles in 0.25, 0.35 and 0.4 mm
When the cut is right, you cannot see the seam.
At stone specialist Junge steindesign the machine runs on quartz composite, one of the hardest materials to get straight, to a tolerance under one millimetre. That is what makes it possible to mitre-join sheets without seeing where one ends, and to run a grain pattern around a corner. A result like that does not come from a data sheet, but from a cut that is right.
- A tolerance under one millimetre on quartz composite at Junge steindesign
- Mitre bonding you cannot see, because every cut falls within tolerance
Service from the manufacturer itself.
In the event of a fault we are with you within 72 hours, in urgent situations often within 24. Maintenance, helpdesk and the Resato Academy come from the same people who built your machine.
Send us your material,
we will cut it.
Tell us what you cut and in what volumes. We cut your material on the machine that fits it, and one of our colleagues turns that into a configuration and a realistic quotation.
