Synchronizing 4 pumps for major cutting power
This one was a bit of a puzzle for Richard: how to set up four pumps in our test area for simultaneous testing. The 4 pieces PJ4 flow-controlled pumps are synchronized to work together on a large cutting table set up for high cutting power. Each pump is set to a maximum of 3.8 lit/min at 4000 bar. Our customer requires a cutting system for 4 heads, each running an 0.4mm orifice simultaneous and unmanned overnight cutting programs so the synchronization has to be rock solid. We also needed to find a place for the air/water cooling units during testing.
Richard has made a mock-up of the actual situation in use with a collective high-pressure line and safety box to the 4 cutting heads to mimic the on-site user situation. This way we know they will work as expected when we install them.
Nice setup Richard and the test team!
